Detroit by Storm
When the Inner Circle elected a new Gangrel Justicar, the archons of Erik Grimold found themselves out of work. After spending the better part of a year taking care of their individual personal issues, they came together on a plan for a new home.  Having served the Camarilla for 50 years as archons, they felt the Camarilla should give a little back. Rather than trying to exsist in another's domain and upset the power structure, they decided they would carve a niche for themselves in enemy territory. They chose Detroit, Michigan, a volatile area that had changed hands between the Camarilla and Sabbat several times in the past two decades, but was currently under Sabbat dominion. A single coterie of former archons - five individual vampires - made it their duty to rid the city of the Sabbat once and for all, and establish themselves as the Camarilla authority in the region.

Jayson Blackpaw was sent ahead. He scouted Detroit and it's out-lying areas for six months, sending regular reports on what he had observed. When the group felt they had significant enough information, they sent their ghouls to buy some property and establish a base of operations. The rest of the coterie met at the safehouse in the late summer of 2023. They would take back Detroit - by storm.

Blackpaw's Report:

May 2023
Getting familiar with area. Have found several parks good for havening. Mt . Elliot Cemetery may be in use by sabbat. No specific signs of kindred activity. Felt uncomfortable near the river.

June 2023
Getting closer looks. Downtown areas relatively well maintained. Suspect Toreador Antitribu influence. Kindred activity likely at several clubs. Further investigation needed. Graffiti suggests sabbat activity. Areas immediately surrounding downtown very poor, ghetto. Failed industrial complexes abound - lots of hiding places.

July 2023
Definite activity at Nihlis Mortis, a fetish club on the corner of Broadway and Randoplh. Observed several different feedings.
Male, 5'10" short dark hair medium/large build mid to late 20's - caucasian
Male, 6' long blonde hair light eyes large frame early 20's - caucasian
Female 5'5" 115 medium black hair dark eyes goth teens early 20's - caucasian
Female 5'8" 130 short blonde hair late 20's - caucasian
Suspect they are all members of the same pack. Club is very counter-culture, kindred blend right in. suspect security measures - must be cautious.

August 2023
Was nearly spotted. Many Toreador Anitribu. Archbishop named DelMardigan, also Toreador Antitribu. Pack mentioned in July has 8 members, all veterans. Leader is named Dregger - suspect Ventrue or Brujah. No visual contact yet. Kindred mentioned in July are Jerry, Samson, Kelly, and Bernice. Second pack exists. Numbers unsure - at least 5. Dregger's pack referred to as The Dregs, other pack known as The Jammers. Meeting of some kind took place at Nihlis Mortis.

September 2023
Looked around Royal Oak. Lots of clubs/ night life - creepy feeling, like I was being watched; didn't stay long.
Mt Elliot cemetery - definitely used by sabbat.
The Jammers - into guns and ammo/tech. Members 5-10? Hard to tell, run with gang of mortals - unusual for sabbat. Leader unknown, members include Windrunner? Mystic Angel, and Bedlam? Odd names. All members have facial tattoos, as do mortals they blend with. Most often seen on the East side.
The Dregs - seem to sense when I am around. Have been avoiding. Seem to operate in downtown area.
Ren Cen - closed at night - no sign of activity.
Suspect two other packs operating - one north one west of downtown. "Outskirt" packs common in large cities - likely comprised of younger kindred and 1 or 2 veterans. Followed a young kindred for several nights - surprisingly boring unlife, but possible communal haven in Highland Park near Univ. of Detroit Mercy.

General Overview

The Sabbat of Detroit seem typical of sabbat in any other city. They have an Archbishop named DelMardigan, a Toreador. Del likely has a childe or 2, who may or may not be members of the packs I observed. The Dregs operate in Del's stronghold, downtown. They remain close by, and are likely comprised of the eldest and most seasoned of the cities kindred. The Jammers are also a veteran pack, and surely protect Del's East side interests. Nihlis Mortis is a common meeting place. Two younger packs roam the outskirts, generally staying south of 8 mile and east of Telegraph. Either one of these packs could completely disappear and not be missed for several nights. There is something creepy about the riverfront and Royal Oak.

Archbishop DelMardigan likely has 2 childer and 2 bishops, who may be members of the packs, may not. He may also have a paladin or priest in his circle. The four packs likely amount to 20 (low end) to 30 (high end) kindred. Total population likely to be 40 +/- 5 kindred. 20 of those kindred would be young to very young, 10 veteran, and 10 veteran to old aged. It is likely that only DelMardigan and 2 other kindred are as old or older than any one of us.

The areas north of 8 mile have pockets of population that could support kindred, and there may be minor activity in any of these places (Troy, Royal Oak, Sterling Heights, Mt. Clemens, Pontiac, Farmington, Ann Arbor). The populations here could not support any significant number of kindred, and are easily encroached upon by Garou.
