Raised entirely on slick rhymes and funky funky beats, the four friends created a fresh new beat that the world is in long dying need to hear. They were true children of hip hop and rap, with a little country/folk that will always be in their blood. Now all four have grown up, they came a long way from their first-time raps which include, "That's How the Cookie Crumbles" and "I'll Creme Ya." Yet they always stay the same care-free, fun loving friends they always were. Laughing at an interview I did with them last fall, they reminised about the times they hung out at West Edmonton Mall and at the theatre that only cost a dollar at the time. Now, though they don't all live in the same geographical region, they still find ways, through computer, mail and phone, to collaberate their music to make fresh new sounds for all to enjoy. What started off as only a fun turned into a dream, which will soon surely become a reality. They had many musical influences such as Naughty By Nature, P.M. Dawn, Milli Vanilli and The Fresh Prince of Bell Air (a.k.a. Will Smith). But the influence which sticks best with Tre Tre Kewl is Kris Kross. "They were the phatest around, to me they are still the bomb!" Like a fiine wine, they keep getting better with age! After taking an almost six year break, they are back and better than ever! Their musical range has broadened, and they are now filled with ambition. |
