#1 - Eminem
No surprise here I'm guessing.  Anybody who knows me knows that i'm a Stan.  When Eminem dropped "The Slim Shady LP" is 1999, it was automatic, he wasn't gonna drop any spots either in 2000 when he released "The Marshall Mathers LP" he put a permanent lock on my #1 favorite rapper spot. Em's star power proved that even without a highly played single, he can debut at #1 on the Billboard charts with D-12, with the single "Purple Pills" not receiving much airplay due to the contents of the song, Em showed that just having him on the record would do the trick when "Devil's Night" debuted at #1.  "The Eminem Show" was no different, after 3 days selling over 1 million records.  Eminem is #1 in my book and will always be #1.

#2 - R. Kelly
I changed this portion of my site from 'Top 5 Favorite Rappers' to 'Top 5 Favorite Artists' because of this man.  Personally, R. Kelly has some issues, the whole child porn thing, I try not to read too much into that. But I will tell you that if rapin' little girls is what it takes for R. Kelly to be as good as he is, then i'll give him my first born.  After (in my opinion) he best album ever "Chocolate Factory" R. Kelly has been writing and producing for loads of new RNB talent.  B2K, Marques Houston, Nick Cannon, ATL, Ginuwine, the list goes on and on.  The Pied Piper can do it all.

#3 - Jadakiss
1/3 of The LOX, after 2 successful albums, the frontman of The LOX ventured out for a solo album, in 2001, "Kiss Tha Game Goodbye" had everything an album should have, great rhymes and great beats put together to make a great album.  Featured on almost everybody's songs, Jadakiss delivers everytime and gets my slot for #3.

#4 - Kanye West
A car accident crushed his jaw and almost ended his life, now he's dropping "College Dropout" an incredible album, a producer that made "The Blueprint" by Jay Z what it is today.

#5 - 50 Cent
"But then again, you'll finally get your wish, cause you'll be all over the streets like 50 Cent" --- Eminem

He said it perfectly, all over the streets, I can't even keep count of how many mixtapes and bootlegs there are featuring just 50 Cent.  In the year 2000, 50's debut solo effort "Power of The Dollar" never made it on to shelves cause of heavy bootlegging.  2 years later, he puts together his own mixtape, showcasing his talents and his free-agency lookin' for a new label on "Guess Who's Back"  50 Cent put out his first album with Shady/Aftermath records called, "Get Rich or Die Trying" and now he has dropped a G-Unit album, clothing line, shoes, and a movie career, 50 is on top of the world.
