HISTORY The Computer Club was founded in 1998.Before the club was founded, a project called "computerthon" was launched in 1997 to collect donations to build a computer room,buy computers and computer components. The President of the Parent Teacher Association(PTA) at that time,Mr.Jamaluddin Yusuf and his commitee members contributed the idea for a "computerthon" The project bore fruits.The buying of the computers and devices were sponsored by the PTA.Besides that, there were benefectors who gave computers to the school. COMPUTER CLUB 2000 ACTIVITIES This year, members of the computer club were given a challenging task(in the begnning) to build a web page for the school.Their efforts and hard work finally paid off. Even though they had a shortage of time during the building process, this web page managed to be launched on the 25th of August 2000. FORM 1 COMPUTER CLASSES. Starting in 1999, it is compulsory for Form 1 students to learn up computing.The objective is to produce students who are computer literated and able to apply their knowledge in this IT era.. SYLLABUS -Word Processing -Spreadsheet -Database -Communications -Graphic packaging -Students are also taught the basics of HTML(Hypertext Markup Language) for web page building. |
