Body - Small black chenille with palmeted black saddle hackle. The front of the saddle hackle should be trimmed so that is 1/2 to 3/8" diameter at the front and is about 1/4" to 1/8" diameter at the rear.
Skirt: Chartreuse or irradiant yellow slitted surveyor's tape. Charttruese is whart the color appear5s to be and irradiant yellow is what the manufacurer has named the color of the tape. The skirt pieces should be about 1 1/2" long and about half a tape width wide. Three piecres are required and each should have about 20 slits to make an active skirt. The three pieces should be evenly distributed around the hook shank.
Head - black tying thread
Eyes - small, 0.95" diameter silver bead chain
Hook - #8, 3XLong, ringed eye
Weight - Optional, 8 turns of .014:" dia. lead wire
