FOG LIGHT INSTALLATION For a Ford Contour (Should work on a Mercury Mystique)
Subject model: 1995 Ford Contour GL with NO fog lights, but has Wiring harness under engine compartment, but not in Engine Compartment
Many Contour owners, and many Mystique owners, got their car with No foglights installed, but wonder if it can be installed. Tools you need for Fog lights:
* Wiring
* Wire cutters
* Electrical tape (or solder for the more advanced)
* Knowledge on wiring
* Optional Ohm Meter to confrim correct wiring
* Fog light relay wiring harness
* Fog light light switch that pulls out
* (Optional) Fog light warning light
* Tools to remove the lower panel by steering wheel

First step is to check: Does the car have wiring for the fog lights under the engine compartment? Mine did, dont know if others dont, if NO, that must be installed seperatly (not covered under this FAQ.)
2nd: Check to see if the wiring harness is there for the fog lights under the dash, it is mostly orange and black, or orange and blue (picture to be added)
3rd. You will need to install 2 wires at the fog light switch (Picture to be added)
4th: Locate the GREEN Wiring plug by the fuse box:
There are 2 sides of this harness, 1 side is going to the engine harness, other side is for passenger compartment, 2 wires are missing on the passenger compartment, which will have the 2 wires, I removed the entire fusebox to check the other side coloring, I will get back with more detailed pictures on WHERE to install the wiring.
5th is to connect all the wires to where they need to go.
