Greg has been playing drums in Boston area blues bands since the late
1980's. He has been in numerous bands including, Blues Kitchen,
Kat In The Hat, Silas Jr. and The Hot Ribs, Madeline Hall's Rhythm
Hounds, and John Putman's Used Blues, before joining up with Sweet
Willie D in the Fall of 1995. Greg is not a flashy drummer, but he
prides himself on being a supportive rhythm section man. He provides a
swinging groove behind the various soloists in the Continental
Walk. His heroes/influences include Swing/Jazz greats: Papa Jo
Jones, Shelly Manne, and Billy Higgins, Blues great: Fred Below,
Rockers: Ringo Starr and Charlie Watts. |
