Like the Scirocco, this car escaped my camera too. I still don't know how. I bought this car the first summer I arrived in Dallas because one, the A/C worked, two, I had a couple hundered bucks just burning a hole in my pocket, and three, well, it was a Lincoln. I drove it all summer and most of the fall semester then sold it in October (I couldn't drag this thing home when I was supposed to be spending my money on school books).
These photos are borrowed from the '75 sales brochure. Like the car in the photo, mine was a regular Continental without the Town Car package. I actually prefer this series of cars without the T.C. package. I'm not particularly enthralled with the rather baroque "floating pillow" interiors of the Town Cars. I prefer the simple biscuit and button design.
Like the in the photo, I had the twin comfort lounge seats and the opera window. My car was white with white leather interior, red carpets and a red vinyl top.
It would have made a great sister to a lipstick Mark IV.
