One
Day
By Cindy Tremblay
Disclaimer : Do I look like
Paramount to you?
We’ve been sharing the same bed since New Earth, but that’s our secret. It’s a comfort to simply have someone to sleep next to. Every morning he leaves before I do and goes back to his quarters. One of these days I’m not going to let him leave. I’m going to tell him I love him, pull him down and make him stay and until that day comes I will always hear him leave.
A creak. A cough.
He stands, kisses my cheek, and leaves.
I still haven’t the courage to tell him yet, but one day I definitely will.
Some
Day
By Cindy Tremblay
Some day I’m going to refuse leaving before her. I’m going to look at her and cross that line, that invisible line which she drew when we started sharing her bed. I think it was more for comfort than for sex. I can think that since we don’t have a sexual relationship. She knows I love her and I know she loves me but that is it. I’ve learnt to except it for now but someday soon I’m going to refuse to leave.
The bed creaks.
I stand.
I kiss her cheek.
And leave.
I guess today isn’t the day.
Only A Matter Of
Days
By Cindy Tremblay
They think we don’t know that they’ve been
sharing quarters. We know they aren’t pursing a sexual relationship, just
like we know they love each other.
We stand every morning at the turning section
in the hall, only to see if he’s going to leave her at 5 o’clock like he usually
does. Lately he’s been hesitating because he’s coming out later. We stand
hopeful this morning it is nearly 5:10.
The door slips open.
He walks out, sighs,
and enters his quarters.
It’s only a matter of days before he stays at her side, that we are certain of.
Let Today
Be…
By Cindy Tremblay
I see the eyes games you play and it’s like you’re uncertain of what to do. I doubt that it’s due to lack of experience, since you’ve loved before. So when are you going to get you’re act together. Today would be as good a day as any for you to confess you’re love. Take a step towards each other. Let today mark the beginning of something wonderful. We wouldn’t wish to see you together if we didn’t think it would bring you happiness. Let today be the start of you’re happiness. Let it be a journey filled with love.
The Other
Day
By Cindy Tremblay
You’re love is a secret. A secret that we can only hope that in the future you will reveal. He loves you, and you love him. He’s afraid to push you and you’re afraid to tell him that you love him. When will the secret be revealed? When will you no longer be afraid? Just the other day we saw how you almost showed you loved him. Just the other day we thought you we going to reveal your secret. Just the other day we thought this torturous game you play was going to end… but that was the other day.
Yesterday

Kathryn picked up her blue pen, turned to
the next page in her journal and began to write.
Dear
Journal,
Yesterday was my birthday. Chakotay gave me
the best gift anyone could have given me, himself. No not in the way you think
but as a bestfriend. Along with him came a white peace rose. There are a lot of
yesterdays in my life, but very few of them will I remember as much I will
remember yesterday. It's on days like yesterday that I wonder why I keep pushing
him back when I could have him...
Duty calls,
Kathryn
It was just one of those
Days.

It was just one of those mornings, where I
wanted to stay in bed, and pretend that I wasn’t captain, that we weren’t about
70 lights years away from home.
I
started to imagine that… but reality hit me when he rolled over which he usually
does now before he leaves.
With a creak I knew he was standing.
The kiss on the forehead came next then the
hiss of the doors let me know he had left.
The moment now gone, as was my chance. It was just one of those days where I wanted everything and yet nothing.
The
Day
By Cindy Tremblay
He looks at Kathryn lying in his arms and
decides that he is going to cross that line. He whispers in her hair "I
love you." Only after does he realise his mistake that Kathryn isn’t ready, her
stiffening up a sure sign of it. He turns and stands ready to
leave.
As he stands at the door, he
hears a choked sob sounding very much like his name. He returns to the bed and
takes her in his arms knowing that the DAY has comes for the both of
them.
In the hallway another couples
smiles happily to themselves.
