Summary: What happens, when Chakotay's hears strange sounds, escaping from Kathryn's Quarters?

Chakotay stood up from his sofa and walked into his sleeping area, the moment he had walked in he
heard strange noises. It at first sounded like it was coming from the corner of his bedroom. He chose
to ignore it and went to bed, but as it just should happen his bed was in the corner, and he slept
against the wall, he had just closed his eyes when he heard the strange noise again. He was not able to
determine what it was but he could tell it was coming from the Captain's sleeping quarter's.

He opened his eyes, as he realized just where the sound was coming from, he stood up now wide
awake and leaned his body against the wall, he could still hear the sound it wasn't loud but it was still
there. He moved quickly from the wall to the doors of his quarters, to her doors.

He keyed in his access code, and walked in. The sound was deffinativly louder, and coming from her
sleeping area. He called out her name, and when he got no answer he panicked, as he walked to her
sleeping area the sound got louder, he knocked on the door before opening it.

When he did, he saw Kathryn sleeping peacefully on her side, clutching a pillow and calling out his
name. He smiled as he realize that the pillow was dressed in one of his shirts. The one he had thought
he had left behind on New Earth. His heart told him to remove the pillow from her clutched hands,
and place himself in its place, but his mind told him otherwise. He fought an inner war, and finally his
heart won out.

He moved slowly to her bed, and took the pillow out of her arms, and slid in next to her. As soon as
he had, Kathryn had place her hands on his chest. He heard a small moan of delight escape from her
lips and his name. He took her in his arms, and pulled him closer to him and as he did, he heard four
words that made him stop. Four words he had never thought he would hear escape from her lips.

He massaged her arm, she said the words again, he whispered three words back in return and closed
his eyes for a moment. He opened them again looking down at Kathryn. He was surprised when he
found her staring at him wide awake with a smile on her lips, and again she said the words, but this
time her voice filled with emotion and love. Chakotay brought his face down on hers, and kissed her
deeply knowing this was just the beginning.
