My Nintendo DS Collection
The Nintendo DS... Ah the long frustrating wait was worth it. 2 months after pre-ordering my DS with Liksang, my package finally arrived. Nintendo DS + Mario 64 + Wario Ware DS = No life for 4 weeks minimum!! Even better was that my package slipped through customs - so no nasty fees!! (Us Brits get taxed for the air we breath near enough). Enough moaning from me now. Why is the DS so amazing? Because it is a portable machine with graphics better than an N64, has two screens, and uses touch technology. The lower screen's touch functionality makes so many games liven up. Wario Ware Inc. on the GBA is one of my all time faves - but Wario DS makes it look pathetic!! Mario 64 DS is just that - Mario 64, but better graphically and with more stars (Now there is 150 of the little buggers!). To top it off, the DS is compatible with all GBA games. What better? (A portable Gamecube!! :-)  ).

My Personal rating - 150/100 (Or in laymans terms - BUY ONE NOW!!)

GAMES I OWN FOR THIS SYSTEM:
Sawaru Made In Wario (AKA Wario Ware DS):

As I say above - Wario Ware Inc on GBA was one of my best games. The DS version just screams stupidity and fun. On the gameboy it was shake the dogs paws, on the DS, you stroke the cute puppy's head with the stylus and when its happy wnough, it gives you a cute look and licks you. Or even better, pull all the paper off the loo roll using the stylus - reminds me off me when I was a bit younger! One of the best has to be the peeing statue! Yes folks, a peeing statue... and on the end of a rope. Aim the statue on the end of the rope with the stylus so it pees the blazing fires out - waht were Nintendo smoking that night??? With tonnes of unlockables and loads of little "Tech demos" so to say, this game oozes genius. Some of the mini games (and un-lockables) also use the built in Microphone of the DS to make mini games even more inventive. My only gripe is the lifespan of the main mode. I completed this game, with language difficulties by the end of the same day I got it, which is still longer than the GBA version.

My Personal Rating: 95%

Mario 64 DS:

What more do I have to say? Its mario 64 but enhanced. Now with 150 stars and loads of mini games (which are half the fun of the game), this is the perfect choice for your first NDS game! I wont bother describing the game, as you probably know it already, but the mini games are so good. Like using the stylus to catapult boulders at falling bob-ombs. Graphically this game has more polygons than the N64 and has a much better framerate, but the textures are ropey (like PSX textures but a bit better!). Still - you have to buy this game by law if you have a DS.

My Personal Rating: 93%
