Nature, Scope and Extent of Responsibilities:

Plans, assists and advises the department and operations' budgets for most efficient annual utilization of approximately $30,000,000 in revenue. Conducts strategic planning exercises and presents long-term suggestions for implementation. Reviews and approves or denies Internal Billings, purchases, and fund transfers. Analyzes department financial performance and submits recommendations to the director of Dining Services. Acts as liaison for the department to other university entities, other universities, and state officials. Represents department in franchise matters. Ensures franchise compliance is maintained and that financial obligations to franchises are met. Maintains training program for Residential Programs and Services. Programs for training include appointed Food Service staff training, student employee training, and management training. Supervises activities of 179 appointed full time employees, 150 full time temporary employees, approximately 600 student employees, and 35 professional staff employees.
