A Voice of Reason

Since I last updated this website, Pres. Reagan has died.  One thing that struck me immediately after his death was that you did not have quiet reflection from the other side, as the Republicans had tried to do during the services for Paul Wellstone.  You had a deliberate attempt to define the Reagan years negatively on the part of the left, from AIDS to so-called tax cuts for the rich.
Why is this?  Why couldn't there have been solemn silence?  After all, we'd have plenty of time to debate the invasion of Grenada in the next few months.
My theory is that the liberals know that history will look kindly on this Cold Warrior so they had to define him for this generation.
Of course, it will and probably already has failed.  The facts don't back up their arguments.
I don't have much time for right now, but if you need facts to counter liberal lies about Reagan and the 80's, visit

This space is dedicated solely to the greatest president of my lifetime, Ronald Wilson Reagan.  Reagan had more influence than any president before or since.  He is responsible for the end of the Cold War (and the subsequent demise of the Soviet Union) and nearly twenty years of almost uninterrupted economic prosperity.  He entered the presidency after being governor of California for two terms and gave Americans hope after a period of Stagflation and made everyone optomistic, because, after all, they lived in the greatest nation in the world.  If we could recapture that spirit of optimism, the United States would be a better place to live.
