warming is mainly caused by the burning of fossil fuels--coal, oil, and gas.
This process creates greenhouse gasses--mostly carbon dioxide--which blanket the earth and trap heat. Many power plants burn these fuels to produce electricity-- electricity which lights our light bulbs!
One easy way to help fight global warming is to switch from incandescent light bulbs to florescent light bulbs.
This will save you money, reduce use of electrical power and thereby reduce carbon dioxide emissions--
