| A little bit about me... | ||||||||
| Rather than do the usual, can I cheat and put this in one of those fun little "50 Interesting Things About Me" lists that are all over the Internet? But I'll spare you about 30 because I'm lazy! 20 INTERESTING THINGS ABOUT ME 1. My husband, Bill, and I were at the SAME concert (Tim Curry) in the SAME place (The Bottom Line in New York's Greenwich Village) on the SAME night (heck, no, I don't remember the exact date) a few years before we met. 2. I met Bill in church on Friday Youth Night. 3. My first publication was a short story about a female undercover cop in True Confessions. 4. I was born in Havana, Cuba to two crazy but lovable Cubans. 5. My sister, Sandra, is a talented pianist. 6. My cousin, Pep, is a talented artist and computer whiz kid. 7. RUMOR HAS IT, a sweet romance, was my first book, published by Avalon Books. 8. AND THEN CAME YOU, a sexy little romance, was a nominee for the 1999 ROMANTIC TIMES REVIEWERS' CHOICE AWARD FOR BEST BOUQUET. 9. I've written almost 100 short stories, 2 YAs, and several romance novels. 10. Christmas is my all-time favorite holiday. 11. Brandon, our younger son, is the drummer for a band called She Likes the Weather. 12. Joey, our older son, is a talented songwriter. 13. My three favorite places to write are a) my home office, b) the beach, and c) StarBucks. 14. I can watch Food Channel until the cows come home. Literally, y'all. 15. In my opinion, the best way to spend an afternoon is either hiking on a mountain trail or taking a delicious, leisurely stroll that lasts for hours. 16. I love lighthouses, mermaids, fairies and unusual bracelets, in no particular order. 17. When I was 18, I tried to break into acting and made it as far as an audition for Burger King, which was doing this promotional thing for free 45 RPM records. My line? I had to smile into the camera and shout, "ABBA!!!" 18. I once sang with Dion (the heart-throb from the 50s) on stage in New York. Seriously. Of course, there were around 49 other ladies on stage, too... 19. My resume includes a 4-year stint as a New York magazine editor. 20. I NEVER--and I mean, NEVER--met a piece of chocolate, dark or milk, that I didn't love. |
