This is Alexander in my belly! I came across the above site and thought it was funny.  I must admit I've bought  1/2 the items mentioned and love them!

I'm still 1-1/2 weeks away from my next appointment but all is going well. I'm still hardly showing, unless I wear maternity clothes and it's obvious. I suppose in the next three weeks I will "pop-out", but for now there's just a little "pregnancy belly".  Alexander is moving around a lot and just starting to kick where I can tell that's what he's doing. Two nights ago Brian was able to feel him for the first time. He felt a little kick! There's no way I can believe that there are people out there who are pregnant for nine months and don't know it. What do they think that feeling of something moving around in their stomach is? It's surely a different feeling than an upset stomach, nervousness or gas.  I've also actually cut down on my shopping binges. I've managed to get most of the things to decorate his room (aside from the crib, changing tower and crib bedding). I've also managed to not buy any clothes for two weeks now. This is a record for me! I counted the outfits and I have gone so crazy that there are 76 different outfits in the closet. They range from the 0-3 month size to the 12-18 month size. He will never have to wear an outfit more than two or three times!  That's all for now - I will be writing more after my next appointment.

My most recent Doctor appointment was Tuesday morning and everything is still going great!  I have gained 14 pounds so far and the range at this point is 15-20 so I am still doing good in the weight gain department (the least of my worries).   We listened to the heartbeat again and since mom was visiting she got to hear it too! It's still beating strong. The doctor also measured my belly - she said my stomach is positioned oddly (not sure the exact word she used) and she found it difficult to measure so it should hopefully be easier as I grow. I still haven't "popped out" yet but I'm sure in the next couple weeks I should really start showing. I started my 25th week yesterday and when I'm a couple days into my 26th week I will be in the last trimester!  It is going by so fast. Alexander is kicking a lot and both Brian and my mom were able to feel him. He is such an active little baby. I've started to get heartburn for the last couple weeks and it's debatable whether it means he has a lot of hair or if my organs are just squished. As long as I take Tums - I am doing okay.  This weekend mom and Brian painted the nursery a lovely shade of light blue- it looks much brighter than it does in the paint can but I still love it.  We also spent a few hours at Babies R Us to register. It's unbelievable how much there is for a baby. There are so many unnecessary things that are marketed - I mean do you really need a $30 wiper warmer? Or, howabout designer burp rags? You can even spend $300 to get a matching crib bumper, crib skirt and sheet! I spent $30 at K-Mart for a crib bumper and two sheets. I'm skipping the bed skirt and mom helped me pick-out some great material at the fabric store for curtains (only $20). So - I'm definitely not going crazy in that department. Now, as most of you know I have clearly gone overboard in the baby clothing department which is probably why I'm watching it for these other areas.  Brian and I are still very anxious and very ready. I can't believe there's still 3 1/2 months! I'm enjoying it and I love feeling him moving around inside so many people tell me to make sure I enjoy this time - so I'm trying.  I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter.
