Moses- God’s chosen deliverer

Characteristics of God – Holy/righteous, all-knowing (omniscience), all-present (omnipresence), all-

powerful (omnipotent), loving, truthful, eternal. Self-sufficient, sovereign

Plagues – 10^th was Death of the first born

Israelites – lamb dies in place of the first born

Blood was proof of death

Angel of Death "passed over" houses with blood

Passover – yearly celebration to remember God’s past deliverance and future deliverance through the

Messiah

The Law – Civil – people to people

Moral – people to people and people to God

Ceremonial – people to God

Feasts, Festivals, Sabbath – remember God and look forward to His redemption and rest

Tabernacle – God is holy ; Man is sinful and separate from God

Ark of Covenant- Manna- disobedience

Aaron’s Rod – rebellion against God’s leadership

Law – broken

Idolatry – worship man or man made things instead of God

Spies to Canaan – only 2 trusted God, other rebelled

Consequences of sin – delay of the fulfillment of the promise

then, when he died, God buried Moses
