Note: James Henry Rowton's father James Edward died in 1907, when James Henry was 14. James and his sister Dora and brother Loren, went to live with James Edward's older sister Sarah Tinsley. Sarah was married to N. S. Tinsley.
This is a copy of a curators bond was found in the Arkansas State Archives of Clay County. It is signed by N.S. Tinsley, J.H. Hill and N.W. Simmons.

GUARDIAN OR CURATOR'S BOND. (State of Arkansas County of Clay)
We, N.S. Tinsley, _____________________and ___________________acknowledge ourselves indebted to the State of Arkansas in the penal sum of EIGHT HUNDRED DOLLARS.
The foregoing obligation is upon this condiiton: Whereas, the said N.S. Tinsley, was on the 19th day of April, 1911, duly appointed by the Probate Court the Eastern District of Clay County, Guardian and Curator of Henry, Dora, and Lareny Rowton, Minors, 17, 16 and 10 years of age, respectively.
Now, if the said N.S. Tinsley, shall faithfully discharge his duties as Guardian aforesaid, according to Law, then a ove obligation to be void; otherwise to be and remain in full force and effect.
Dated this 19th day of April, 1911.

Note: Grandmother Lizzy worked downtown St Louis making hats. She worked for International Hat on the corner of Victor and Texas. She met Grandpa Pollman there. His family had a cleaning company. They cleaned offices downtown. The business office was located by International Hat. Grandpa Pollman was a accountant for them. Then he went to work for Pevely Dairy. Friends and family called him Mr. Peavley.

Note: When grandpa Carric died he worked for St Louis Screw and bolt (proper name?) on North Broadway.
** Obituary for Carric Goddard**
Carric Goddard was born July 10, 1899, and departed this life June 17, 1929, at the age of 29 years, 11 months, and 7 days. He was born near the vicinity of Leasburg and Bourbon and lived there until he reached early manhood. At the age of about 20 years he, with his father and younger brothers and sisters moved to St Louis to make his home. In 1922 he was united in marriage to Miss Elizabeth Hancock and to this union two children were born the first having preceded the father to the grave and the second little Frances Blanche now being about 2 years of age.
Besides a loving faithful wife and baby he is survived by his father E.C. Goddard of Steelville, Mo a sister Mrs. William Powell of St Louis and a brother Everett of Sullivan and a host of other relatives and friends. His mother Mrs Frances Goddard Nee (Ray) two brothers Kirsty and Courtney, Two sisters Rachel and Imo all preceded him to the great beyond. The entire family with the exception of two children Rachel and Kirsty who have been dead for several years was well aquainted throughout the Crawford Co and especially in Bourbon, having lived there for several years and a great many old friends will be sadden to learn of his death.
The deceased became ill about a week before his death and on the Sunday before he was feeling better and expressed the belief that he would be able to return to work on Monday. However , a few hours later he began to feel worse and was taken to the hospital on Monday and passed away about 9:15 a.m. te following Tuesday. Death coming as a result of liver poisoning.
Carric was a young man possing a rare personality having no bad habits. Being very liberal in associations with his followmen a faithful and devoted husband and father and a friend to all those with whom he came in contact.
Funeral services were held on Friday afternoon at 1:30 p.m. from the Liedner Chapel on St Louis Ave. and interment made in Mount Hope Cemetery near Belleville, Illinois by the side of his baby son.
The services were attended by a large group of relatives and the esteem in which the deceased was held was witnessed by the beautiful floral offering contributed by those in attendance.

Arthur C. Hancock, 84 of 2330 Lorraine Dr. Centreville died at 7:15 a.m. today in Centreville Township Hospital where he had been a patient two weeks. Funeral services are scheduled at 1:30 p.m. in Sedlack Chapel, East St. Louis. Burial will be in Valhalla Cemetery. Mr. Hancock was born in Murphysboro, Il. He lived in East St. Louis from 1910 until 10 years ago when he moved to Centreville. He was a retired self-employed upholsterer. Survivors include sex daughters Mrs. Ben (Flossie) Rushing, Mrs. Melvin (Vada) Hall, Mrs. Carless (Thelma) Snow and Miss Edna Hancock, all of East St. Louis, and Mrs. Frank (Elizabeth) Pollman and Mrs. Edward (Vivian) Slazinik of St Louis; a sister Mrs. Flossie Coffer of Carbondale; 15 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.
