I just found some YOSTs in my line and am just scratching the surface but would love to connect and share with someone on this line. Please tell me more about your YOST line. Thanks. In a history of Coshocton County, OH, her daughter, also named Jane, said her mother was born near Little York, PA. The older Jane was married to Patrick LIGGETT and is listed in his will probated 17 Feb 1806 in Cumberland County, PA. The daughter, Jane Liggett BURNS, and other children also are listed. Jane LIGGETT also is listed as the sole legateee in the will of William BEASLEY probated 23 Aug 1800 in Cumberland County. I don't know what the Beasely connection is, but Jane in this will also is listed as the wife of Patrick Liggett. I really need to go to York County for further research on the LIGGETTS and YOSTS. Send me a family group sheet or ancestor chart and I will check through Yost correspondence to see if I have anything that might help. Harry Liggett, 544 N. I think what I did find is repeat of what you have, but I'll mention it anyhow. I found a book on New Jersey Vital Records that listed several: 1. Yost, Peter and Maria Magdalena Sheets bapt. of Maria Madalena on 19 JUL 1782 born 20 Mar 1782 2. Also to same: Catharina b. 10 FEB 1770 , Jacob b.3 JAN 1770 and bap. 4 FEB 1780, Willem b. 29 OCT 1779, bap. 4 FEB 1780 3. YOST, Peter - will dated 13 JUN 1810, codicil 2 FEB 1811, probated 20 FEB 1811. Legatees: Mary Magdalen, wife John, William, Nicholas, Jacob and his daughter Margaret, daughter Mary, wife of Joseph Ely and Elizabeth, wife of John Foote. Also four sons and two daughters. Plus grandson Andrew Settle (may be child of daughter not named). He was part of Tryon County Militia - Private 3rd Regiment. 4. Also listed under JOST were two marriages. A. Jacob to Catharina Boschardt 22 FEB 1795 and B. Peter to Maria Marlena Schiddi 8 MAR 1768 The article I told you about Jacob Carpenter in the town of Starkey chapter of the Yates county history book I will have to copy next time I'm there if you want it. It started out , tho, "Jacob Y. Carpenter was the son of Hope Carpenter and born in Sussex Co. NJ in 1790. He married Mary Helms, native of Pennsylvania. I think I told you that in an old (1969) QUERY section of the New England G. S. Journal someone was looking for Hope Carpenter, married to Phoebe Yost, dau. of Peter Yost, so I guess that one is a "Yes". Will drop this little article on Hope from Abstracts of Revolutionary War Pension Applications in the mail right now for you. Talk to you soon. (P. S. Did you ever find anything on Stadtmillers?)
