Abigail WILLIAMS, b.10-04-1710, d.1796, Newton, Mass.; dau. of Isaac
WILLIAMS and gd. of distingished Capt. Isaac WILLIAMS, b.09- 01-1638,
Roxbury, Mass,(moved to Cambridge Village (now Newton) 1660. There is
about six pages of these WILLIAMS in detail in 1909 photograhically
reproduced copy "History of Early Settlement of Newton...1639 to
1800..." by Francis Jackson, printed 1854 by Stacy & Richardson,
Boston and available in the Medford Public Library.

Abigail WILLIAMS married my Ensign Joshiah FULLER, 1739, 
and they had 12 children. If you have more interest in these 
WILLIAMS and do not have Jackson's "History ...of Newton..." 
available, send me an address and I will be glad to photocopy the 
WILLIAMS pages via Smail.

     Goodness, Jim, it looks like you need to do some basic
research in Rhode Island vital records, most of which have been
published (see Arnold's "Vital Records of Rhode Island" covering
info through 1850, published in some 22 volumes and available at
many libraries and through the LDS Family History Centers). 
Daniel rates parts of four pages in Austin's "Genealogical
Dictionary of Rhode Island," based on vital records and other
sources; summary of these pages (430-433) follows:
  
     Daniel WILLIAMS b. Feb 1640 [sic] in Providence, RI, d. 14 May
1712, m. 7 Dec 1676 to Rebecca RHODES (b. ?, d. 1727, dau of
Zachariah RHODES and Joan ARNOLD; widow of Nicholas POWER).  Seven
children listed:
  
     1. Mary b. ? d. 1740+, m. ? Epenetus OLNEY (b. 18 Jan 1675,
d. 18 Sep 1740, son of Epenetus OLNEY and Mary WHIPPLE); 9
children listed.
  
     2. Peleg b. ? in "Providence, Johnston, RI", d. Feb 1766, m.
? Elizabeth CARPENTER (b. ?, d. ?, dau of Timothy CARPENTER and
Hannah BURTON); 7 children listed.
  
     3. Roger b. May 1680 in "Providence, Scituate, RI", d. 30 Jan
1763, m. 1 May 1729 Elizabeth WALLING (b. ?, d. ?, dau of James
WALLING and ?); 2 children listed.
  
     4. Daniel b. ? in Providence, RI, d. 1738+; no wife or
children listed.
  
     5. Patience b. ?, d. 1764, m. William ASHTON (b. 1680, d. 19
Apr 1765, son of James ASHTON and ?); 4 children listed.
  
     6. Providence b. 1690 in "Providence, Smithfield, RI", d.
1769+, m. ? Elizabeth --- (b. ?, d. 1769+); 1 child listed.
  
     7. Joseph b. ? in "Providence, Scituate, RI", d. 4 Mar 1739,
m. 19 Feb 1716 Sarah WHITMAN (b. 26 Jan 1696, d. 27 Oct 1749, dau
of Valentine WHITMAN and Sarah BARTLETT); 2 children listed.
  
     Many of the dates, children's names, etc., are drawn from
wills and land transactions, which are summarized in Austin's
book.  That's probably a good place to get started; then you can
proceed with Arnold's "Vital Records," histories of Providence,
biographies of Roger WILLIAMS, and the like.  Sandy Clunies of
this echo may be able to steer you toward historical and
genealogical journals that would provide updated research on the
WILLIAMS family.
