WILLIAMSON

My grandfather was Henry E. Williamson and he was born 1 July 1866 in
or near Hartford , Ct. As a young boy he moved to L.I. NY.

The line before him was:
Fred BM (or MB) Williamson born 10 Nov 1836, mar. Julia Payne Harris
Fred Williamson born 12 Feb. 1806 mar. Rebecca E. Field
William R. Williamson born 14 Feb. 1786 , at Stony Brook, NY mar. Hannah
   Burnett of Stony Brook, NY
John Williamson born 1750 , Sag Harbor, NY mar. Jemima [?]
John Williamson born maybe 1732, mar. Mary Osborn Oct 1748 or earlier 
  at Southold, NY.

It was John , born 1750 who fought in the Revolution  and lived out
his life after that in Southold, L.I. NY.  I do not know what
generation moved to Ct., or where the first John born abt 1732 came
from. Since I can find nothing in the Latter Day Saints IGI file on
L.I., it seems like they immigrated to there then. I have not had the
tiome to search the IGI file in Ct, but I do know there are many
Williamson's in it. I therefore suspect they came from Ct.
