WELCH, PERRY by Joe Lavelle Thu Aug 6 1992 ------------------------------- I checked the Otis vital records and there was no birth record for Hannah PERRY. The 1800 census had only one PERRY living in Otis, called Loudon at that time. Head of the household was Joseph H. PERRY with a census count of 10200 00100 00. Could not find him in the 1810 MA census index. There were two 1800 PERRY listings in Lee, Abraham and William. Other PERRY listings for Berkshire County in 1800 were David in Richmond, John in Partridgefield, Josiah in Hancock and Peter in Stockbridge. The Williamstown vitals for Hannah's death: October 30, 1873 ( 67 yrs 7 mo ), born in Otis, father listed as PERCY, cause of death was consumption. I'll follow up on Joseph H. when I get the time. Our library also has microfilm records for some Vermont towns including Pownal. There were no records for Elijah WELCH in any of the towns. The following are some of the WELCH records from Pownal. Appears either of the Samuels would be the correct age to marry Hannah. Do you have any information to determine which Samuel married Hannah ? Samuel b.
