From what we can decipher, there is between 30 to 60 different
spelling variations of the same name. Our WEITZEL originates from
the Palatinate region in Germany. We are looking for descendants
of JOHANN PAUL WEITZEL in Lancaster County. PA. this would probably
be in the 1600's, possibly 1700's. I would like to correspond with
all Wheitzel's or any close name variant. Since I do not have a
computer please write to me and enclose a SASE if you would like
a reply. I am a school teacher but have been doing genealogy for
years. I would love hearing from you. I have a lot of information
on this family.

My Grandfather Wm Henry Wetzel died when my dad was a boy so our side 
didn'r know a whole lot about the Wetzel side.  Oooops I see a Typo.  WmH 
was mar 1919 D. 1934.  Anyhow, I haven't done a whole lot of work on this 
family.  Sure are a LOT of WETZELS around!!!!!  Cindy
