Van Schaick by Brian Mavrogeorge 5 April 1990 ------------------------------------------------ I don't think we have any direct connections that are obvious. The Bonners in my ancestry came directly into PA. None were in NY. The Van Shaacks/Shaicks on the other hand were in NY. Catherine VAN SCHAICK married John HERRICK III. She d 31 May 1830 in Watertown NY. He was b 1789 in Watertown and d 2 Jul 1854. Catherine's daughter married my gr-gr-grandfather James Taylor BONNER in OH. Jannetje VAN SCHAAIK married 7 Nov 1702 Jan Jurrian VAN HOESEN who was b Albany NY and d Claverack NY. Jan is my gr-gr-gr-gr-gr-gr-grandfather. Frytje Claase VAN SCHAICK married Dirk VAN DE KAR. Their dau Marytje Van De Kar married Gerret Van Hoesen c1725 in the area of Kingston, Ulster Co fatheoonenburgh, and Claverack NY. Gerret is my gr-gr-gr-gr-gr-grandfather. It is interesting, to me anyway, that Catherine Van Schaick is my father's ancestral line. Jannetje and Frytje are my mother's ancestral line. In another instance I found my mother and father to be distant counsins (I think it was 3rd cousins 5 times removed or something like that). Perhaps there are related through Van Schaicks as well!?! --- * Origin: ROOTS-BBS San Francisco (415) 584-0697 (Opus 1:125/30) ÚÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ¿ ³ This file appears on The Source of Magic BBS, Ridgefield CT ³ ³ 203-431-4687, specializing in genealogy, radio, and writing. ³ ÀÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÙ
