I am Janet Jehn of Acadian Genealogy Exchange. 863 Wayman Branch Rd.,
Covington, KY 41015. I think I have found your Frances Surette. I am
looking at a booklet containing genealogies of Surettes of Nova Scotia.
Frances Surette (1892-1918) was the daughterof Eugene Surette (1864-1948)
and Eddesse Saulnier. Siblings: Laurence, Genevieve, Eunice, Mande, Amy,
Mary. Eugene's father was Marc Surette and he married Marie Boudreau.
Frances was born in Wedgeport, N.S. Eugene was a fisherman, born
Wedgeport. He left there in 1912 and came to Maine in 1913. He lived with
his granddaughter, Josephine McQuarrie, and died in East Millinocket,
Maine in 1948. I don't have an address for Josphine, and I'm not sure I
have Steve Surette's current address, but the last one I show is 148
