Carolina and settled near what was then Lincoln Courthouse, but is now Lincolnton." -Wm Stroup was married two times --6 sons & 4 daughters by 1st --6 sons & 4 daughters by 2nd --One wife Miss LeMaster , dont know other. only know part of kids names --1st marriage- Jo Ann Stroup Rose Ann Stroup were 2 of daughters -they married Josiah and Jeremiah Phillips (brothers) Three of the six sons were- Moses, Joseph, and Eli. In second marriage only have 1 name (at present) son Levi Stroup born Nov. 7, 1812 near Lincolnton, N. C. Levi Stroup married Livia Dill Robertson Oct 3,1837 (she was born June , 1812 in N. C.). They had 6 children all born Limestone Springs,S. C.(it is now Gaffney, S.C.)(I have kids names & dates) Levi Stroup & family moved to Verona (near McKinney Tx). Have been watching mail between you and Cynthia inre Stroup -one of my cousins maiden name Stroup.
