Strange - england by Jeff Thomas Thu Nov 12 1992 ------------------------------- -=> Quoting Jackie Leduc to Jeff Thomas <=- JL> I am also one of the STRANGE researchers that Don mentioned, and would JL> also like to thank you for all the information you gave. Even though JL> we haven't gotten back to England yet, I'm sure that it will come in JL> very useful down the road. Don and I have basically the same info, but JL> if there is ever anything I can help ya with, just give a yell. Thanks Jackie. After comparing notes with Marlyn Lewis, I have decided that her sources on generations we had conflicting information on are more likely to be correct. We agreed on the line from 1275 back though. I have amended my records in light of her more recent source finds as follows: JOHN LE STRANGE of Ness and Chesswardine, Salop and Hunstanton, Norfolk. He died 1178/9 having married Hawise. Marlyn uses the following sources: The Wallop Family genealogy, line 928 (p. 737), and from Paget's "Lineage and Ancestry of HRH Prince Charles". I really think you'll be better off using this lineage as a basis for your research. ...
