John A's wife was Martha Ellen Griffith Jan 25, 1869 - Aug 31, 1898. She was born of Joseph Newton Griffith and Hannah Jane John who were raised and married in Monroe County Ohio. Joseph's mother was Anne Stephens dau of David Stephens who came from Buck County Pa. John A. writes David made a lot of money there in Real Estate. Does anybody have more information on this David Stephens. His sister is supposed to have married into the Stonewall Jackson family. I have a few records on a Benjamin Griffith in Bucks Co. Joseph's GF was supposed to be a Joseph Griffith from Wales and was a preacher. ????
