They had at least seven sons. >Thanks in advance!!! Hugh: There are several books about the SPOONER surname in the Western Reserve Historical Library here in Cleveland, so I would imagine that they would also be available in libraries around the country. I have SPOONERs' in my line, but very little info on them while they lived in the Eastern part of the country. My SPOONER ancestors have birth places like: Hartford, Conn. in 1803; New York, N.Y. in 1803; West Hampton, Mass. in 1834. They moved to Wisconsin in the mid-1800's and settled in the Tomah, Monroe County, Wisconsin area. There is also a town in Northern Wisconsin called Spooner. It's in Washburn County, and, although I don't know that any of my relatives were involved in that town, I understand that there were a lot of people with that surname who lived there. Perhaps you could check there. If you ever do get to the point where you think perhaps there is a Wisconsin connection to your family, let me know. John.
