My earliest known ancester is JOHN SPENCER b.1754 (supposedly in Culpepper, VA or possibly in Chester Co, PA) His parents (this is not documented) were Samuel and Hannah Boyd Spencer. I have not been able to find any earlier information. I only know that he had a brother, named Joseph and a sister named Mary. They married Quaker women in Chester Co, PA and settled in Central PA. I have checked passenger lists for VA and Phil and have not located any likely names so they must have come from Eng to some other ports.
