Was at the Historical Society Library last week and found a copy of the 1922 Sherman Geneaology you mentioned in your msg of 2-12 to Virginia Peterson. Will mail copies of the pages you wanted later this week. I also found a copy of "Transatlantic Shermans" by Bertha L. Stratton, 79 Sommers La., Staten Island, NY 10314 publ. 1969, in which she presents fairly stong evidence that Hnery SHERMAN (husb. of Agnes BUTTER?) could not have been the son of Thomas (husb. of James WALLER.) Her position is bassed on a deposition, which she uncovered, made by Henry in 1547 which states that he was then 62 and that he had lived in Dedham for 40 years. She also presents evidence that Thomas was born between 1492 and 1495. She has also written a book "New Light on Henry Sherman" which is not in the Hist. Soc. Lib. I found this quite late in the day so I was unable to get copies etc., but was wondering if you had seen any of this info. I will probably not be able to get back to the Hist. Soc. until early in May when I will get copies etc. In the mean time any input you might have would be useful. Also the Stratton book as well as the 1922 Sherman Geneaology have Hnery's (husb. of Agnes BUTTER?) son Henry married to Susan LAWRENCE at Mouse Co. Essex 14 Jun 1568. You show his wife as Susan HILLS. The Stratton book has a great deal on the SHERMAN family during the 15th and 16th centuries. Look forward to your comments.
