Rogers by Hal Brown Sat Jun 08 1991 ------------------------------- I met a lady named Marcia Melnyk at the Charlestown NH genealogy fair on 5-5-90; Marcia Melnyk 26 Harrison Circle Rowley, MA 01969. Marcia is working on Stephen Roger's line and has it traced to herself, thus making us distant cousins. Stephen was brother of Wing -- THUS THERE IS A LINEAGE LINK HERE! In short, one of Wing's daughter (Ester) married a quaker named Nicholas Brown in Ferrisburg, VT -- thus my connection. Stephen Rogers, born 2-7-1748 in Marshfield, Ma. died 3/17/1826 on the Staples Farm, Danby, Vt. I have visited Danby Vt (about an hour from me) several times. Stephen's mother was Sarah (WING) Rogers and John Roger's III. Marcia provided burial place of Stephen, and his 5 last children which I did not have. I have much information on the children, some of which went to the Holderness, NH area as I recall. Another source of information for you is; Hugh Jackson 9 Tisdale Street Simcoe, Ontario, Canada N3Y 2J8 Hugh has been working on a book which will continue the Rogers line from where the original book left off!
