PLUMB Family by Robert Paver 31 July 1990 ------------------------------------------------ Dorcas PLUMB married John LYMAN, son of Richard LYMAN abt. 1654. She was born in Branford Ct, daughter of John. Most of my information came from Coleman Lyman's book on the LYMAN family. It was published in the 1890s. I am very interested in getting more information on the PLUMBS, prior to Dorcas. My mailing address is 234 28th Ave., San Francisco, Ca. 94121. ------------------------------------------------ 210/713 01 Aug 90 14:41:00 From: Anson Hyde To: Dan Faries Subj: PLUMB ------------------------------------------------ John PLUMB, who married Elizabeth NORTON, was my 7G-grandfather. I have five earlier generations, and three subsequent generations down to Keziah PLUMB, who married Samuel OVIATT, my 4G-grandfather. Most of the data is found in the reference I quoted to Robert Paver, "the Plumbs, 1635-1800", by H. B. Plumb, 1893. ------------------------------------------------ 326/713 1 Aug 90 20:07:44 From: Vernor Harris To: Dan Faries Subj: Re: PLUMB ------------------------------------------------ Dan, was reading over Anson Wade's shoulder re: your message subject above. Are you familiar with THE BALDWIN GENEALOGY, BY C.C. BALDWIN, published in 1881 and the Supplement published in 1888? These give a lot of Information on Mary BALDWIN and her ancestors, and a small amount on your Robert PLUM(B). If you have not seen this, it is usually available in larger genealogy libraries, but usually in microfische form. I could reproduce the info for you if you need it. (not on Mary's ancestors, that is to much). --Vernor-- ------------------------------------------------ 361/657 05 Aug 90 11:53:00 From: Anson Hyde To: James Hickox Subj: PLUMBs ------------------------------------------------ I think I have all the PLUMBS I need at the moment, but I will check further and let you know. Are you familiar with the source I quoted ("The Plumbs 1635-1800")? It shows Elizabeth Plumb m. Samuel Hickock 1690 and her descent from John PLUME, b 28 July 1594 and earlier generations back to John PLUMBE, b. Eng. c. 1505. The xerox of this publication that I have is very faint and difficult to read. I do not know how it would reproduce and I haven't looked for the original text.
