My reference is N.E.H.G. Vol. 57, Jan 1903; Gen Dic of Rhode Island; and Weaver Genealogy. The NEHG says John appears in Newport, R.I. in 1638 and was associated with the Clarkes who were among the active supporters of Anne Hutchinson. The article contines to say that he married to Mary Clarke who died before May 30 1651. Then comes the hunches - It is thought that he had three children with Mary - 1.)John 2.)Thomas and 3.)William. The rest of the children are with wife Eleanor which the Weaver Genealogy documents that her last name was Weaver according to a note in the Gen. Dic. of R.I. They had 9 children. Son William above become a Baptist minister at Newport. The NEHG article is about 20 pages long. Do you want a copy or do you have access to it? Got your file download from Source of Magic and it is dated March 16 1990. It was a basic descedant chart which looks similiar to my PAF descendant charts. It contains little information other than next to the name there appears a ID # and a date which I assume is the date of birth. Do you have group sheets or futher information?
