Daniel Ormsbee of Waterford, Pa.

    On August 3, (1818) Daniel Ormsbee ( my ggg gf) was born.
It appears that he was the son of Aaron (ca. 1788-1880) and
Mercy (?) Ormsbee. On the 1850 and 1870 censuses for Waterford
Tp., Erie Co., Pa., Daniel Ormsbee indicated that he was born in
the state of N.Y.
 
    The info. I have says that Daniel Ormsbee married Clarissa
Weed (1822-1880), daughter of William and Nellie Yaple (or
Zaple) Weed on January 8, 1837. Daniel and Clarissa Ormsbee
and his parents apparently all died in or around Waterford, Pa.,
although I have not been able to find their graves.
 
    On the 1850 census (Waterford, Erie Co., Pa.) Aaron Ormsbee
indicated that he was born in R.I., but on the 1870 census, the
census for Waterford indicates that he was born in Vermont (not
abbreviated).
 
    I am trying to figure out where Daniel was born and where his
father came from. I have a little more info. on the Weed family
as it appears in County Histories but nothing confirmed through
vital records, public documents, etc. If you have any info. re.
these Weed or Ormsbee families that you would be willing to share,
