I am descended many generations from an Aaron MENDENHALL through a
daughter, Elizabeth, who married Caleb KIRK. The only information we
have on our Aaron MENDENHALL is the name. His daughter Elizabeth was
born about 1735-1740. We do not have a name for Aaron's wife. We do
know the family was all Quaker.

Noticed your message to Jim Chester concerning Aaron MENDENHALL who was
the son of John MENDENHALL and Elisabeth MARIS. John was a brother of
Benjamin, John, Mary and Moses, the emigrants to America whose parents
were Thomas MENDENHALL and his wife Joan STRODE. the STRODE lineage goes
back to Sir John de STRODE, Knight, the 8th generation from Sir Warinus
de la STRODE', Lord of Strode, in Dorsetshire in the 17th year of the
reign of Henry III, (1216-1272). Thomas MENDENHALL was born in 1633 in
amarriage Hill, Wiltshire, England, the son of Francis MENDENHALL who
was buried 7 Nov 1673 in Little Bedwin, County Wiltshire, England. Joan
was also born in Marriage Hill, Parish Ramsbury, Wiltshire. Her parsens
are believed to be William STRODE and Joanna BARNARD (Bernard). The
