McBAY by Allen Mcray Tue Jun 25 1991 ------------------------------- Need help in Pennsylvania & Wisconsin: Seeking information on a JOHN MCBAY, (born ca 1799) served in the War of 1812. Enlisted at Harrisburg, Apr 30 1814 (at 15 years of age) & served with Grosvenor's 3rd Infantry. Discharged at Fort Howard, Green Bay, Wisconsin, Feb 7 1819, and re-enlisted same day for another tour of duty. The above received bounty land warrant for 160 acres of land, in May 1819, located in Carroll Co MO., and sold it in 1824. Unable to find any info on this person in Carroll or surrounding counties in Missouri. Believe he stayed in Wisconsin. Would appreciate any info on a McBay family living in Lancaster Co. PA or surrounding counties ca 1730 thru 1800, also any info on this family in Wisconsin from 1800 thru 1830. Possible brothers of John could be a EDWARD & WILLIAM MCBAY.
