"John LYMAN, gent., was eldest son and heir of Henry Lyman and also owned land at Ovyington, Asshe, Chilton, County Suffolk. He was living in 1546, and was a contributor to the war. He married Margaret GERARD, daughter and heiress of William Gerard, of Beauchamp, County Essex. The Lymans appear on pp 1817-19, and the header on the pages is Massachusetts. Do not have book title! If you would like some additional information just give a holler. I will keep looking for some information on your Caleb LYMAN who married Azubah COOLEY or COOPER. I have a lot of COOLEY name in my ancestry but I could not find yours in any of them. If they were married in Hadley they should be in the History of Hadley genealogies. The families in Hadley at that time did a lot of traveling back and forth into Connecticut and further north into the other adjoining towns so they might not have gotton married in Hadley. You could check any of the other towns such as Westfield, Ma., Northampton, Ma., Springfield, Ma, Windsor, Ct., etc. The next time I go to the Springfield, Ma. library I will look for them but that won't be until after Christmas.
