    My gg-grandmother was Martha Ann KOPLIN b. 30 Sep, 1840 in
    Sandusky, OH.  She m Benoni Bartlett TAYLOR 23 Feb, 1858 in
    Medina Co, OH; where I don't know.  He lived in Lamar Co, TX, and
    she lived in OH.  That was a long distance romance.

    Her parents were Mathias KOPLIN b ca 1801 PA. and Mary Stambaugh,
    b ca 1806 PA.  I do not know where they married, for I have not
    found any KOPLIN's & STAMBAUGH's living in the same county.
    Going backwards they lived 1860 in Logan Co, OH;  1850 in Medina
    Co, OH; 1840 in Sandusky, OH.  They moved to OH from PA about
    1832.  I would guess they were from Montgomery Co, PA, but I am
    not sure.

        Naturalization - Christian KOPLIN New Providence, Philadelphia
        Quaker 3 Apr 1751
        Lancaster Co. ancestors naturalized 19 May 1739 - Mathias KOPLIN
        Montgomery Co PA weddings
          KOPLIN, Nathaniel & Maria SCHEETZ 5 Feb 1809
          KOPLIN, Philip & Maria JONES 31 Dec 1815

        There is a will for a Matthias KOPLIN in Wayne Co, OH in 1847.
        I have not sent for it yet.  On my list of things to do.

        Matheis KOPLIN  arrived in Philadelphia on the ship Albany from
        Rotterdam on 4 Sep 1728.  This last was found in Thirty Thousand
        Names of German, Swiss, Dutch, & French & other immigrants in
        PA.
        I will be glad to share any information that I find.  How are
        you related to the KOPLIN'S?
