John GIBBS married Mrs. Elizabeth (--) Kendall on 3 Sept. 1760 in
Lancaster, Ma.  Elizabeth was the widow of Isaac Kendall who died 8
Sept. 1755.  It is believed that Isaac and Elizabeth Kendall had a
son Joshua Kendall b. on 20 June 1746 in Lancaster, Ma.  Seeking the
maiden name and parents of Elizabeth Kendall Gibbs.  Merton L.

GENEALOGY                      -------------------------------
Reuben KENDALL (1739-1790+) was the gr-grandson of Francis and Mary
(TIDD) KENDALL. He was born in Woburn MA, married 10 July 1762, Molly
HARTWELL at Leominster, Worc. Co. MA. They lived in Shirley, MA and
Cavendish VT. I have 9 children listed for them, but am not sure of
them. Their son, James, b. 1765, married Dorothy TARBELL and moved to
Rushford, Allegany Co. NY. Family legend says that James & Dorothy were
followers of Joseph Smith and left NY state, going as far as Nauvoo, IL.
When the persecution of the Mormons began, James & Dorothy left and
returned to Kirtland, OH. They died in Switzerland Co. IN where their
daughter, Fanny (KENDALL) MORRISON was living. I'd like to exchange
information on any of these families.
