KEENEY et al. by Glen Keeney 18 July 1990 ------------------------------------------------ I am especially interested in KEENEY, rooted in Alexander Keeney in Wethersfield CT around 1650.I have Richard KEENEY 1732-25 Dec 1831; Joseph KEENEY about 1733-Aug 1816. My mail address is: Glen Keeney 5914 Highgate Ave. East Lansing, MI 48823 Date: Mon Jan 06 1992 01:06:00 From: Glen Keeney To: Doug Light Subj: Hollister Attr: GENEALOGY ------------------------------- DL> my great-grandmother, Harriet HOLLISTER, born November DL>1865, died 10 Jun 1916 in Saginaw Michigan. She married Charles DL> her parents may have been Myron DL>HOLLISTER, born 1813 in NY and Eliza ???, born in 1829 in England. He My gg grandmother was Onor Hollister (1780-1837) d/o Phoebe Goodrich and Aron Hollister. No dates on either - other children were Anson Cynthia Jason Prudence Lodarrich and Phoebe. Onor married KEENEY and a son, Julius (my g grandfather) moved from the Rome NY area to near Rockford IL, my grandfather KEENEY from IL to Iowa. The KEENEY line starts around 1650 in Glastonbury CT (Hartford). I have Stiles' "History of Ancient Wethersfield" with a little KEENEY, some amount of HOLLISTER and a lot of GOODRICH, but I'm unable to verify the exact connection to the HOLLISTER-GOODRICH there. I find a Phoebe Goodrich of about the correct age, but too young in the book to show her husband. The most recent Hollister in this book is Roswell (1848-1853) but the Hollister line goes back in to 1600s in CT. I can't trace their migration from CT, but I do know the Keeney migration was CT to Rome NY. Branches of Keeney went from Rome to a) western NY, b) MI, c) IL. Do you know where in NY your Myron Hollister came from? I didn't find either Myron or Harriett in CT book - did see names like Ebenezer Elisha Hannah Pamela. More than willing to pursue this line with you. ___ X SLMR 2.0 X GOODRICH HOLLISTER RUMES SEATON --- Maximus 2.00 * Origin: Colonial Family Research (517) 882-0717 Lansing, MI (1:159/525) Date: Mon Apr 27 1992 04:27:00 From: Merton Alexander To: Glen Keeney Subj: Keeney Attr: GENEALOGY ------------------------------- Glen: Mr. Debar sent me another message.
