HORNER by Donovan Yingst Thu Dec 13 1990 ------------------------------- My HOERNER/HORNER: 1. Michael HOERNER b. ca. 1800, Dauphin Co., PA m. 25 November 1823, Elisabeth SIEBERT, Hummelstown, Dauphin Co., PA 2. Maria (Mary) Ann HOERNER (HORNER) b. 9 May 1826, Hummelstown, Dauphin Co., PA c. 9 July 1826, Hummelstown, Dauphin Co., PA d. 1 December 1865, Dauphin Co., PA m. ca. 1848, Abraham YINGST, Dauphin Co., PA b. 17 May 1821, Dauphin Co., PA d. 17 April 1867, Dauphin Co., PA Mary HORNER YINGST died at or soon after the birth of her last child. Abraham YINGST apparently married a Margaret after Mary's death. Margaret then married a SNAVELY before 1877 after Abraham died. I have several pages from "History of Dauphin County" with HORNER/HOERNER information. According to this reference, Andrew HOERNER, b. 19 April 1743 in Prussia, emigrated to this country in 1775 and settled in now Dauphin Co., PA near Hummelstown. Two brothers and one sister that accompanied him settled in NEW JERSEY. There is nothing in the Dauphin Co. reference about HOERNERS in NJ. I believe that Michael HOERNER descends from Andrew HOERNER, but I have yet to find proof of this. MAIL ADDRESS: 12014 Ginger Creek Drive, Boise, ID 83704 Ph. 208-322-0463
