The name at one time in this area was spelled with an "E" on the end. I found one line; HARTSHORN, George W.; born 1827, son of Colburn and Elizabeth FAY of Lunenburg, VT. Lived in Cannan, VT. Now for the ones locally: HARTSHORN, Joseph; born 12 May 1791 in Anherst, NH; son of John and Hanna PRINCE of Amherst, NH; married 30 Mar 1817 Mary ELLSWORTH (born 1791) of Derring, NH. They lived in Hillsborough and Bradford, NH. They had children: 1 i. David Henry, b. 1832 ii. Mary Antoinette, b. 1826 - dy iii. Ann Maria, b. 1827 iv. Sarah Dutton, b. 1829 v. (adopted) Elizabeth Pauline GIBSON, b. 1820 Second Generation 1. HARTSHORN, David Henry; born 1832, son of Joseph and Mary ELLSWORTH; married 1853 Amanda FORSAITH. They had chidren: i. George Henry, b. 1853 ii. Joseph Albert, b. 1855 iii. Sarah Maria, b. 1859 - dy iv. Mary Lizzie, b. 1861 above from History of Hillsborough, NH 1735 - 1921, by G. W.
