The source is an DS Archive record for the son, Thomas, submitted about 1951 by Mrs. CarlOdegard, 16886 Ehle St., San Leandro, CA 94578. The sources given threon are "Gen of Mesc by Cutter p 301; Gen Dict of R-Is by Austin; Fil #5312 pt 10 items 5 & 10." I have not checked these out, with the exeption of Ausin, which DOESN'T list her last name. The film number is bsolete now, so probably can't be checked. One correspondent of mine, Marilyn R. Milota, 2456 Chester St, Eureka CA 95501, wrote in 1989 that she believed Elizabeth's name to be USTIN. Additional sources she named were "Representative Men & Old Familes of Rhode Island" (1908); "Immigrant Ancestors to America Before 750" (1963); and "First Settlers in New England" by John Farmer (1829). I wonder if somewhere along the line the reference didn't get mixed up wth the surname... she also listed Austin's dictionary.] In an article in LIFELINER, (Genealogical Society of Riverside (CA), Vl 23:1 Sept 1987, p 30 is an article called "Early Rhode Island Harrise". This article states that her name may have been JENKINSON, butindicates the source as Austin which you and I know doesn't name her t all.
