Goodrich, Curtis, Allen, Marvin by Helen Chandler 24 March 1990 ------------------------------------------------ Ensign Wm. Goodrich b ca 1628 in Suffolk, Eng. and died in Harfford, CT 1674, married Sarah Marvin on 4 Oct. 1648. I don't know any of her dates nor anything about her except that her parents were Matthew Marvin and Elizabeth. Son of Wm. Goodrich and Sarah Marvin was John Goodrich b. 1653 in Charlestown, MA and married, probably in Torrington, CT to Rebecca Allen dau. of Capt. John Allen. I have not dates on Rebecca or her father. Rebecca's and John Goodrich's dau., Msary Goodrich was b. 1682 in Torrington and married Thos. Curtis. Does anyone have any information on this? I'd greatly appreciate it. * Origin: Ramblin' Roots * (305) 221-1571 * Miami, Fl * (1:135/54) Date: Fri Jun 07 1991 20:23:26 From: Clark Goodrich To: Richard Arnold Subj: Goodrich Genealogy Attr: genealogy ------------------------------- Iam new to BBS and don't know if you will even get this? She married Charles DL> her parents may have been Myron DL>HOLLISTER, born 1813 in NY and Eliza ???, born in 1829 in England. He My gg grandmother was Onor Hollister (1780-1837) d/o Phoebe Goodrich and Aron Hollister. No dates on either - other children were Anson Cynthia Jason Prudence Lodarrich and Phoebe. Onor married KEENEY and a son, Julius (my g grandfather) moved from the Rome NY area to near Rockford IL, my grandfather KEENEY from IL to Iowa. The KEENEY line starts around 1650 in Glastonbury CT (Hartford). I have Stiles' "History of Ancient Wethersfield" with a little KEENEY, some amount of HOLLISTER and a lot of GOODRICH, but I'm unable to verify the exact connection to the HOLLISTER-GOODRICH there. I find a Phoebe Goodrich of about the correct age, but too young in the book to show her husband. The most recent Hollister in this book is Roswell (1848-1853) but the Hollister line goes back in to 1600s in CT. I can't trace their migration from CT, but I do know the Keeney migration was CT to Rome NY. Branches of Keeney went from Rome to a) western NY, b) MI, c) IL. Do you know where in NY your Myron Hollister came from? I didn't find either Myron or Harriett in CT book - did see names like Ebenezer Elisha Hannah Pamela. More than willing to pursue this line with you. ___ X SLMR 2.0 X GOODRICH HOLLISTER RUMES SEATON --- Maximus 2.00 * Origin: Colonial Family Research (517) 882-0717 Lansing, MI (1:159/525)
