The story has it that three brothers came over to the States (not sure what year) and traveled south. When they got to the Mississippi Delta one decided to stay there and became a doctor. The other two went on to Louisiana and one settled about 10 miles south of delhi. Maybe a litle farther because I found a lot in Baskin, LA. The one I'M trying to find is called Caleb B. or W. Dunham he settled close to Delhi, LA. The one who setled in Baskin was Levi Nathan Dunham. Their father was Ephram Dunham. Some of the descendents of Caleb Dunham were a son named Andrew William Dunham and one daughtor named Patience Dunham who married an O'Brian. Caleb and his wife (named Ruth Fields) suposedly had about 10 or 12 children but these two were the only ones who lived to maturity, the rest died young. Andrew William Dunham married a Mary Ann Mcvoy. They had 7 children. Their names from oldest to youngest are as follows. Walter Andrew (died when he was only 3 yrs), Eula Ann (married a McPherson, Walter Adolph (married a Anna May Scott), This is my Direct Ancestor., Minnie L. ( married a Chester White), Jessie Vick ( married a Minnie Elizabeth Mathis, Thomas Jeff, and Mary. All of these were from around Delhi, La. If any one can help me with finding more info on Caleb Dunham it would be greatly appreciated. Caleb I believe was born in Ohio, on 25 July 1815. I beleive the three brothers that came over from England were Calebs father, Ephram Dunham and his brothers. A sister may have traveled with them. This is where I have been stuck for two years. If anyone knows any Info on these people please leave E-Mail here for me or write to: Linda S.
