Our ancestors inhabited lands in the Highlands near Blair Atholl in northern Perthshire. Today, the Society maintains a museum of family history at Bruar Falls, not far from the ancient seat of our clan chiefs. Although the Clan Donnachaidh Society is world-wide, there are branches in various areas to promote local activities. We invite you to join with us. Membership dues are minimal and include membership in the parent society in Scotland. If there is something about the skirl of the pipes that stirs your blood; if you suspect the kilt is really a more manly garment than saxon trousers, if you have a truly highland zest for life, there is something you can do about it. Put a bit of bracken fern behind your ear (the clan plant badge), shout out the clan war cry, "Garg'n uair dhuisgear!" (or at least try!), and make application to your nearest branch of the society. There are clan genealogists available to assist you in tracing your clan genealogy. There are branches of the Clan Society in the following locations; SCOTLAND: Rannoch and the Highlands; Edinburgh; Glasgow; Firth of Tay. ENGLAND: London. CANADA: Nova Scotia; Ontario; British Columbia. NEW SOUTH WALES: Victoria. NEW ZEALAND USA: Florida; Northern California; Southern California; Mid-Atlantic States; New England States; Rocky Mountains; Michigan; Texas; Northwest Pacific States; Southern States; Upper Midwest States.
