     I don't know, Marlyn, if the following will be of assistance, but here 
goes anyways.  Not having kept "hard copy" of what I wrote before, I hope 
there won't be too much that is redundant or unnecessary.
 
     My Elizabeth Deming, who died in Wethersfield, Connecticut 28 July 
1683 at the age of about 88 years, was wife of Nathaniel Foote whose 
parents were Robert Foote of Shalford, Essex, England and Joane Brooke.  
Nathaniel died 1644 about 51 years old.  Elizabeth Deming possibly had two 
brothers, HJohn and Thomas in early Wethersfield.
 
     My sources include Vol. II of "Ancient Wethersfield, Connecticut"; 
"Directory of Ancestral Heads of New England Families" and correspondence 
with Margery Nielsen a couple years ago.  In one letter, she gave Elizabeth 
Deming's parents as John Deming and Mary Magot.  In another, she writes, 
"...Nathaniel Foote b. 1593 Shalford, Colchester England m. 1615 d. 20 NOV 
1644 Wethersfield CT a founder Wethersfield m. Eliz. Deming b. 1595 Eng. d. 
28 JUL 1683 Wethersfield, CT m. (2) Gov. Thomas Wells.  Recently I found 
listed her parents as Jonathan Deming and Elizabeth Gilbert..."
                            
  
     She gives details on others I was working on such as Churchills, 
Smiths, etc.  There is more research I'd like to do.  You clearly have more 
than I do re: Eliz 
Gilbert. Would appreciate more details on what you do have.  Thanks for 
being there!
