   I have a family group sheet from NGS on John Coleman Couch born
9 May 1836 in Gwinnett County, GA, and another for Joseph Anderson 
Couch born 1820 Guilford County, NC. I have a list of a dozen Couch 
researchers.
   Revolutionary War pension files include 16 with COUCH surname, 
mostly from Conn. and Mass., but also Edward and Mary Couch of North 
Carolina, and William of South Carolina. Pension #R2359 for Edward and 
R2361 for William.
   I have information on Nathan Couch (1725-1802) who built Couch's 
Fort in Allegheny County, PA, and another Nathan Couch (1774-1848) of 
Fayette County, PA.  The 1790 census lists six of that surname in PA. 
There were four Couch estates in Ohio before 1850.

Bill: How interested are you in COUCH families in the north? I have some 
old information in notebooks b.c. (before I got a computer) that I could 
send.
For starters, here is a list of Revolutionary War pensioners taken from an 
1840 pension census list:

Abraham Couch, age 73, living with self as head of household in Reading 
Fairfield County, CT 

Chester Couch, age 78, living with self as head of household in 
Sandisfield, Berkshire County, MA

Daniel Couch, age 76, living with Uriah Couch at Scipio, Hillsdale County, 
MI

John Couch, age 54, living with John Couch, Hallowell Twp., Kennebec 
County, ME.

Josiah Couch, age 82, living with Joshua Couch, Westport, Fairfield County, 
CT

William Couch, age 81, living with William Couch, Portland, Chautauqua 
County, NY

My problem here is the results of a search of the Beaver Bog Cemetery New 
Fairfield, CT.  Clvin Couch d. 12 FEB 1870 ae. 81y6m
                    "Abigail" wife of Calvin Couch d. 20 MAR 1856 
                                    ae. 62y10m20d.
I don't know if Abigail & Abiah are the same person. Any ideas.
