CORNELIUS by Shirley Johnson Fri Nov 08 1991 ------------------------------- > My husband's Cornelius line was in Huntingdon PA in 1827. His 3rd > g-grandfather was Richard Scott Cornelius. We are assuming that Richard's > fater was Lewis, but that is a guess. There is a 2 volume book on the > Cornelius Family by Chas. S. Cornelius at the LDS library in SLC and other > libraries but I had to order the microfilm. Maybe that will help you. > Let me know if you have any luck. --Joann Cornelius > * Origin: The Family Historian - (619)-279-5746 - (1:202/709) My Cornelius line was also from PA as I may have told you emmigrating from Belgium. I did not know of any of the Cornelius line that was in Pa that early (1827) though. I have seen the Cornelius book several years ago and did not find anything that would have helped me-it seemed to be a different line. Have you done much research on that line? The Cornelius decendents that I have ties too are: Aimee, Anthony, Beatrice, Alphonse, Joseph Felix, Philomene, Emma, Marie, Adelia. Marie Cornelius m. Felix Theys 1883 Belgium and immig in 1886 (approx) to Bedford Co PA.After Felix Theys death in 1909, Marie m. Arthur Broutout and lived in Cambria co until her death in 1938. She had two brothers who lived in Terrehaut INdiana in early 1900. August may still have descendents in that area. My g-grandmother had cousins in the Huntingdon Pa area according to my mother and other family members. I'd like to hear from you again.
